Abu Dhabi played host to ADIPEC 2013, one of the largest and most important events on the energy industry calendar. Paul Harrison, Head of Global Account Development at Mirage, visited the Abu Dhabi to get find out more about the latest trends in the oil and gas industry.
This year was big for the ADIPEC awards with five times as many submissions being received as in 2012. The awards, which recognise excellence in the Middle East and North Africa region, were presented for six categories.
The awards featured two new categories: the ‘Empowerment of Women in Gas and Oil Industry’ Award, which recognises initiatives taken to raise the profile of female gas and oil professionals, and the ‘Young ADIPEC Engineer’ Award, celebrating those within the industry with fewer than four years experience and a strong potential for future leadership.
