Subsea7YouTubeVideoA YouTube video from the crew aboard the Bourbon Peridot Boat, a Subsea 7 operated ship based in Equitorial Guinea, has become an internet hit after they mimed along to Toto's hit, "Africa"

The music video was the brainchild of ROV pilot Darren Flynn who thought up the idea after fixing a camera he had taken onto the ship.

Flynn said: “I did the first couple of scenes with Subsea 7 guys and then a couple of other guys on the boat thought it was good so they also wanted in. As the thing progressed more and more people wanted in from the captain to the company representative! The rest is history!”

A spokesman for Subsea 7 said: “The nature of our business means offshore people spend several weeks on board a vessel, living and working together with colleagues 24 hours a day.

“The video is a great example of the camaraderie and team spirit which clearly exists between everyone on this ship.

“Our company values include collaboration and Innovation and the team behind this have demonstrated both – it’s what we call Being 7.”
